Running away.

Sometimes I am grateful that I have so many family and friends who love me. When life gets crazy it allows me to run away. I am at my step moms for three days. I needed a place where I could let the kids run, while I tried to get some things done. I found my place in Camarillo. Back to reality on Wednesday.

Where's your place to run to?

From Carlos' Blog...

So Heather and I have been waiting for our "assignment" to come from South Korea. Waiting for months to find out who will be joining our family. I am sitting in a Days Inn parking lot in Oakhurst, CA because we just got a phone call from our social worker that we have been assigned. PRAISE GOD!!! God is shining bright upon us right now. We are overjoyed.

Blog Jacking

Hey. This is Carlos.  I am taking over my wife's blog tonight as she is sleeping comfortably 3 feet to my left inside a tent with her 2 bundles of joy on both sides.  There is not a chance in hell I am going to be able get any action tonight so here I sit.  Blogging.  :)
She whistled at me about an hour ago and said..."How much do you love me?"  You know what that means.  I was about to have to march into the darkness to get her something.  But no.  Alas all she wanted were some pics on her blog for her loyal readers to see.  Here you go...

The Greatest Sport Ever!

070904_001 So I am watching this great show, its called  Country Fried Home Videos on CMT. It is awesome, you need to tivo it. You will love it! I have learned of a new sport today its called Grabblin. Have you heard of it? If you have you are probably east of the Mississippi. You  go swimming in  a lake and fine a deep hole. Then you stick your hand into a deep hole, wiggle your fingers around and wait for a catfish to bite it. When it does you wrestle it out of the water. You have to see it to believe it. The best part of the story was it was all women doing it. And a few were pretty cute. 07272804_057  So have you heard of it? Would you do it? It's not something I am going to add to my list.

Does she look like a cat to you?

Img_8605 So we went out to eat Mexican the other day and all of the sudden begins to Meow. I look at her and she has these chips up to her face meowing. Ummm I don't know but she does not look like a cat to me, but shhhh don't tell her.

It's never tasted so good!

Master_jlo_header2

Thanks to Becca and Bogie I was able to eat! Becca came over with two flavors of jello and it never tasted so good. These drugs that Dr. Mohn gave me work great! I am feeling much better than when I got each bottom out. I don't know if it is because of the drugs or if the top teeth are just easier? Probably a little bit of both. Thanks for everyone who has checked up on me!  And thanks to Becca for feeding me yesterday!

It's over!

Img_0129 I had my two top wisdom teeth taken out today, and its over! When I got pregnant with Sohaila my bottom right wisdom tooth got a real bad infection and I had to get it removed, but because I was pregnant I only got local anesthetics and was only able to take tylenol. Sounds fun, huh. Well not but 9 months after Sohaila was born we got pregnant with and believe it or not same thing happened. So today I am happy to say it's over! Plus I am not pregnant and therefore get to enjoy drugs. I am going off to a happy place. Good night.

It is easy for me to sing worship songs that say he is all I need, but it is hard for me to feel that in times when I want more.  Oh how my emotions jack me up sometimes.  I will admit to experiencing the wonderful God given blessing of PMS. I am typically not affected by it, but this month with the stable life enviorment that we are in (sarcasm) I have been emotional. My birthday was great. Everyone wished me a Happy Birthday, I was  showered with gifts and most of all surrounded with those I love. But I was missing something. What? I wanted more. Wow this is random. Lets see if I can sum this all up. Had a wonderful birthday, thank you all wished me a happy birthday and to those who spent time with me. Thank you baby for the thoughtful gifts, you are getting great at presents! Jesus thank you for the family and friends that I have, forgive me for not being satisfied with my abundent life. I am blessed. I'm a little random and nutty at times but blessed.

They have been sleeping in the same bed lately, so cute!

Holding it together

OK so I actually have been Praising God because I have been handling the stress of my life pretty well.  The move, the adoption, the homelessness. I was actually feeling fine with it all. A little tired but not stressed. Well that all changed last night. It changed so much that now I feel nauseous just thinking about it. Carlos called and explained that our buyer of our house may not be able to buy our house. It's a long complicated story but it may not go through. Umm we have less than a month before we have to have the $ to put down for our new house. If you don't know the market it has drastically slowed down and houses are not selling. AHHHHHH, All that keeps me sane is that God's plan is always bigger than mine and if this brings him Glory than we will go along for the ride. We may be stressed but we will go along. Anyone want to buy a house? .

Palm Springs

It's only going to be 111* today, nice. I have added new pictures to the Palm Springs Photo Album. Here are more pictures of what we've been doing...

A long time coming.

Oh how I longed for this week. Things have been so busy in life that I have only allowed myself to think about what needed to get done that day. Finally I have left it all for the HEAT of the desert. We ( the girls and I) are staying with Carlos' mom out at the Marriott Shadow Ridge in Palm Dessert. And yes I relaxed today. Kim  and the kids came out to enjoy the 111* weather. Actually it was great. Perfect pool weather. Relaxing!  Check out the pics from today.

REALLY, Is she not perfect. Img_8486

At Home

Carlos is at home at Bogie and Becca's. We woke up this morning to find his pants on the ground. Sometime last night he dropped them in the living room. Img_8458 He feels at home.

Sleeping like an infant

What is a holiday for?    Sleeping. 1921140448 I took 2 naps yesterday! I never take naps. I went with our new roomates on a 5 mile run at 5am. OUCH. We came home, ate and then took my first siesta.  We then went to the Albee's for a day in the pool, then around 3pm it hit again. Sleep. It was wonderful! We woke up and went to JRocka's fourth of July bash. It was a great day!  What did you do?

When it rains it pours!

My life is always in a cycle. I am either busy or SUPER CRAZY! The past two weeks, I have attended the porn convention,  a birthday party, packed a house, organized a rummage sale, attended the PDWC,  ran 33 miles, went to Disneyland twice, moved  and not to mention tried to maintain a marriage and love on my girls. I am exhausted!  I have had not time to post but want to share the most exciting news this week, Our rummage sale.
We put out the plea about a month ago asking for any donations for our Adoption Fundraising Rummage Sale.  We received many wonderful donations. Somethings were from those  who we are close to and some donations were from people we didn't even know.  At the end of it all we were over flowing. Img_8412 I began to set up around 9pm, Carlos decided to sleep outside to protect me. We finally put the last bit out around 9 am. it took me 12 hours to put all this out. I took about 1 five minute break all night. My back was worked, I waddled like I was 9 months pregnant because my feet hurt so bad, but we got it all out.
Img_8406 Tammy got to our house around 6am, she then took over. She rocked it. I have no idea what i would have done if she did not come over. My body was awake but my mind was not functioning. My favorite part of the day was Tammy arguing with the people because they were so cheap. They would try to get something worth 10 bucks for a dollar, she would not back down. Her famous quote was " We're trying to adopt a baby for goodness sakes" I loved it. Thanks girl!
The best news was that by 9 am we had reached our goal. I set a goal of $1200. I don't know where that # came from it was just the goal I set. By 9 we reached it! I was pumped. I was so excited to see what goal God had. Obviously mine was to low!  I was fine all day. My body was not tired I just was mentally tired. Not to mention that it was like 105*.
Anyways long story short we made $2500 all together! Praise God. We doubled our goal! I was shocked! What a  wonderful gift you all gave us. We are one step closer to bringing him home!
