« Come on you did it too. | Main | OH MY GOSH! »

Its a little late but here are some interesting things we learned in Korea...

Img_2586 *Korean women walk arm and arm or holding hands. They are very physical touch.

* Seoul has to be the most fashionable place I have ever been.  Not New York, Beverly Hills, or London... nope hands down the women in Seoul know how to work it.

*In Seoul all the girls wear skirts with boots! or they wear knee high stockings with high heals. I love it. It's a city for me and any single guys out there.

*In Seoul everyone is in  a rush.  You will always see people running. Carlos and I call them RRRunners.
When we see someone we say RRRunner, RRRunner!

*Of coarse everyone knows America is the most obese country. And in Seoul we could count on our hands how many fat (and i mean chunky, no one is obese) people we have seen. We have observed a few things why Koreans are not fat.
Koreans are not fat because...
Img_2595        ...they walk everywhere and to get to the subway or across the street you have to climb up and down at least 100 stairs. Thats just to cross the street. So on an average day I'd say we have climbed 500-1000 stairs each day. 1/2 of America couldn't do that.
Img_2572     ...Their sizes are small, yet satisfying. A large pizza is our medium, at Starbucks their tall is a medium, at the movies the straws are like the straws you stir coffee with, very small so it takes a long time to drink it.
(Personally I think they are thin because of what they eat. I have missed many meals here because after I ate Korean food my tummy was just not right.)

*In Seoul there are no kids anywhere, it is very rare to be out in the city and see a child.
Img_2613 * In Seoul we see people wearing dentist like face masks. We are not sure why they are wearing them. Our conclusion is that they are sick and do not want to spread their germs.
* Pickles and Pizza of coarse!
* Korea is wonderful for me. When i sit in a chair my feet  touch the ground. At the movies my feet touch the ground, in toilet my feet touch the ground. It defiantly is a society catering to short people!

Img_2610 *Um, Well right before we saw him we made mention that we never once felt scared or intimidated by anyone in Korea. Well then we saw him. Um if he was on a NY subway he would be arrested.

i think i like korea...i remember in junior high my friends and i used to do that "latch arm thingy"...it was nice. )mabye that was just a texas thing), and i wish we lived in a place where you had to walk more (that's just one of the many things we loved about living in san luis obispo, it's such a small town you can just walk downtown from where we lived, FUN) and i like how they have smaller portions there, that really is how everyone should eat. just a few thoughts.

This was fun to read! Hope you're feeling better and I'm still mad at you for not going sailing friday night... you're not picking me and i hate when you do that!!!!!! It's a good thing I've matured in the past 12 months...:)

Did you notice the guys carrying the girls purses? Usually the guys lock arms or even hold hands too - surprised you didn't see it!

You didn't see kids because in Korea #1 the kids (10 -18) attend 16 hours of school or learning instruction. I'm NOT kidding. #2 they provide constant opportunities to the kids to keep them off the street - youth clubs where they can swim, play games, surf the net, learn to dance etc... all for free, and then there are the singing rooms (kareoke) which is HUGE there.

We come home with more clothes than anything when we go. Did you grab any of the crazy lingo T-shirts? Seoul is amazing for shopping and styles!

I crave Korean food. You have to get used to it, but it is So healthy. Your digestive system works so much easier with it than here in the states. I;m the ame way after returning. I don't want to eat.

We love that our feet can touch easier there too! and I love watching the average size person have to duck to get through some restaraunt doors!

(4 deer just walked up our driveway! - Time for that Holiday yet?)

Just reading this makes me so interesting. If you have any questions about Korea, just let me know. haha

PS. I think visiting Korea on summer season would be more wonderful. haha
