Sorry Peeps I am over Barbecue!
Ok, so we already had the discussion over what is the difference between BBQ and Barbecue. I now can say that I have had barbecue twice now and it is good. However there is nothing fresh about it. It is greasy, fatty and just yuck! Don't get me wrong I enjoy junk food sometimes. Actually I really enjoy having junk but when it is the entire meal I can't do that. When we ( in Cali) BBQ it is usually steak or chicken and then there is at least a fresh fruit salad and maybe even a fresh garden salad. Sometimes we even grill veggies and have all three at the same time. Both times I have had barbecue there has not been any veggies at all. I know they serve veggies soaked in butter or fried in grease but that is not exactly what I am looking for. Anyways that is my rant on BBQ vs Barbecue. I am going to stick to my fresno meal, my favorite! If you know what that is tell me...
Too bad I'm gonna spoil this for everyone else... BBQ tri tip seasoned w/pappy's, rice pilaf (i'll never make that mistake again), fruit salad, asparagus and rolls!!!!!!!!

Yum, with all the talk of BBQ yesterday I decided to have a Fresno meal for dinner. And Yep Tam got it right to the T. We also had grilled red onions! Yum! H

Yuk! That does not look like real southern Bar B Que to me:( I'm sorry you have been misled. What you want is some good pulled pork that has a yummy, spicy vinager marinade on it. My favorite is rarely greasy and very tasty. We always have fresh home cooked greenbeans (no butter) and sometimes we have fried okra...but not "greezy". Real homemade banana pudding usually for dessert. Brown's Bar B Que from the low county in SC is our favorite. We are getting a shipment around Christmas...I'll give you a call:) I'll even fix a fresh fruit salad:) Hope all is better and well again at your house. Hope Losiah is feeling better. Sorry we have not caught up. The boys have been sick and Parker is having his hernis surgery tomorrow...up in your neck of the woods at Scotish Rite outpatient surgery center. Hope y'all have fun tonight and get lots of candy! m
