Pa you'd be proud

So the picture did not catch my hands like I wanted, but I have a cut and car grease because I got under the hood today. There is just one thing that my dad taught me and that was how to fix cars. We rebuilt my engine once, did countless trips to pick a part, and basically I learned that if its broken I could fix it all by myself. Well today was not a big deal I just had to jump my car. I know kinda lame but it reminded me of my ability and the memories that my dad taught me. Thanks Pa! I love you. I can't wait to get my girls under the hood with me. H
SEANNA AND LOS WILL GO UNDER WITH YOU BUT SOHALIA WILL MAYBE HAND YOU THE TOOLS BUT SHE CANT GET DIRTY IN HER PRINCESS DRESS.............

that's great that your dad taught you how to fix your own car, my dad didn't teach me how to fix cars (except for teaching me how to change a flat tire), but he did teach me how to do hardware type stuff...i was always going to the hardware store with him & helping him with projects around the house. ahhhhhh, now i miss doing that stuff with him. i too, can't wait to teach my girls the stuff i learned from my dad (how to use a drill & stuff like that) & that it's not just a man's job...it's really fun!

Oh my gosh...my dad made me do that stuff too! (Well, not the rebuilding part) He made my sister and I both learn how to change a tire, change the oil, and take care of a few "minor" things before we were "allowed" to move out of the house. Eek! But in retrospect, I am so glad that he did!

I'm impressed beyond words. There is no way I could ever participate in such greasemonkeyness. I would, however, be able to turn any dropped nuts'n bolts into a chic pair of earrings or get a new lamp out of any coils or springs that didn't make it back into the engine.......but I'd still wind up walking.Sigh.
