And they were not joking...
Hardly any houses in Atlanta had lights on or decorations up. For some reason in California almost EVERY house has lights and decorations up. We had fun going in a neighborhood that was all decked out. I think there were two houses in about 100 that were not decorated.

Where are you from. Do you do lights?
I'm a college kid from Ohio... we do some lights, but not like that. I love looking at them, though.
Your coat is really pretty.

I'm finding that in Arkansas, they don't do lights like they did where we were from in TX.
We drove through a park...and paid a donation at the end of the drive...to see light displays you could buy at Wal-mart. Disappointing, but all we could find to get us in the Christmas mood.
In Texas, there were neighborhoods all lit up and decorated really cool. Some neighborhoods even had horse drawn carriage rides to look at the lights.
We've never decorated the outside of our house. Not sure why, but we haven't. It's funny. We've been married for 11 years and still our Christmas decorations fill up half a room...
We got a new tree this year. It is the prettiest tree I've ever owned. It came pre-lit and we added even more lights to that. I am happy to be on Christmas break and be able to just sit and admire it like I did when I was a kid...

We're in Tennessee and we don't do outside lights... mostly because we'd be those people that everyone talks about, you know, the ones who leave the lights up till July! LOL We have the tree and the inside decorated, but that's about it.
