Fried Green Tomatoes
Despite the winter storm warnings Lori, one of the truest and most wonderful people you could ever know (she thought I should clarify who she was) got here safe and sound! We were worried that the ice would keep her in So Cal, but it did not.
We went out and gave her a what you Atlantans call BBQ.
It was good.
Plus she tried Fried Green Tomatoes for the first time!

I just hung out with Lori last week and she never mentioned she was coming to visit. How cool! I've always wanted to try Fried Green Tomatoes

Have you converted now? Or is this just a sinister plot to put a few extra pounds on Lori before sending her back to the sleek SoCal world?

SO Lori, did you like them?! I LOVE Fried Green Tomatoes! (The food and the movie! LOL) Last time we were in GA Frank took me to the little "town" where they filmed the movie. The Whistle Stop Cafe is there and we got to eat awesome food!

They actually have those? Crazy. I laughed at your last comment. I agree - it is a little funny. We should talk sometime. Or email. I have loved reading your blog and just feel a little weird reading people's blogs but not leaving a comment...and I only like reading blogs of people I know - and I have to say yours and Carlos's are some of the most fascinating blogs of people I know...plus you post a lot. It's awesome. Anyway I hope you have fun with your friend - it's so great to have old friends come visit!
