Meet Soda, Pizza, Losiah and Food
Every Friday Sohaila gets a Daddy date to Starbucks on the way to school. some how misses that deal and so Carlos wanted to take her out on a special date this past weekend. I had one of those movie like experiences as I watched her gleam with delight as they walked hand and hand out the door. I knew this little time with daddy would make them so much closer. is a quality timer for sure! When they come home she has this look on her face. They were up to something. I walk into the kitchen and she is gleaming with two plastic bags of fish. Thats right the Daddy date included bringing 4 more animals into our crazy home. was so afraid I would say no. I tried to give her a hard time but she was about to break. So here they are... Meet Soda, Pizza, Losiah and Food.
I think Carlos needed to just take her to dinner instead of buying her fish. :)
Those are the best fish names, ever!

This is so precious... him taking them out, not the new pets. :)
But those ARE some incredible pet names.

Fish. Our family seems to end this story with a fishy funeral.

Note to Carlos: Next time EAT the fish; don't BUY them.
(I'm a new reader, by the way. Came for the Uganda trip. Staying because I like your style.)

I love the names!
My daughter named a hairbrush Linda when she was 2. And at 2 1/2 she named her feet Gabby and Gowum ?!?
Maybe I should get some fish.
It's getting a little embarrassing when someone compliments her on her shoes, and she proceeds to introduce her feet.

I named my car "Soda"...a tribute to Seinfeld, it's true!
Also, fish are a great way to teach kids about the "circle of life"...they don't last too long and the story of flushing them into the sea just doesn't seem fair

did she name the fish those names?

My daughter was told by her aunt that "God makes lots of fish because they don't live very long." We found that out in the first week.
Ghost shrimp are good tank cleaners and they are only 26 cents at Wal-Mart.

Somebody already said my first impression - los - EAT fish don't buy'em. What kind of fish are they? I loved having aquariums for many years - something marvelously calming about the water, motion, bubbles ,soothing sounds ---- zzzzzzzzzz.

Cute names. I hope your fish hang around longer than any of ours did. We pretty much ended up calling them disposable pets, because they usually haven't lasted more than a week.
What precious memories she's making with her daddy. Those will LONG out last the fish.

Sorry. I put your link in the "Show Some Compassion" post I did a while back. I know it's late - but at least your Technorati score will go up!
