Depends on how quickly you want to buy another fish!!! We went through 4 bettas.... Every time I changed the water, we'd find a "floater" the next morning!! Maybe you'll have better luck! hopefully... :)
Depends: Who bought the fish? My husband bought our kids a fish when I was out of town, so I feel pretty justified making him clean out the gunk! :-)

I make the husband clean it. But, he was the one who insisted that we buy the fish in the first place. I am afraid I'll kill em.

We have had our fish forever!! Nick bought it. I am still waiting for HIM to clean it. Poor fish is going to die in MURKY water :(

I hate cleaning up after anything that lives in a cage/bowl/aquarium. I'll take the pooper scooper over that any day of the week.
