No Soap Opera watching today
I thought I would be able to watch some tv today, LOST to be exact, however I spent all day in bed. Doing what you might ask? Well besides trying to rest because of this stinking cold, I was reading all of your blogs. I spent all day visiting all 150 blogs of yours out there! Did you hear me...
I read 150 blogs today! I loved that everyone contributed. I feel like I just went on a family reunion and met Uncle Pete and Aunt Sue. You guys have some great stories! Thanks for all your link love and just introducing yourself to me. H
I am so impressed that you took time to do that! Thanks for stopping by!

I found your blog today via Amy Beth at Ministry So Fabulous! I read tons of your entries and watched your video journey to Korea... Ok, I seriously sound like a deranged stalker now!
Anyway, the video of you meeting your little guy for the first time and the one of you finally getting to take him with you made me sob!! And made me want to run out and adopt a little boy from Korea!! :)

What a fun day....not the feeling bad part, the reading blogs part! I found you and Carlos when I was in bed with the flu. I watched every adoption video, read all of the Uganda posts, felt like I was spending time with old friends. Isn't that a crazy thing about the bloggy world?
Get better!

Thank you so much for this post. My wife's blog is one of ones you visited today and the comment you left has been the subject of much discussion at my house.
A little back story. I began reading Carlos' blog a few months back and subsequently began reading yours. I'm one of those visitors who checks sites like 10 time a day and so very quickly I feel I got to know you and your husband and family. Well, I began to mention you guys in normal conversation like, "oh, yeah Carlos has one of those." or "Heather does that." My wife found it very annoying, but then a funny thing happened, my wife started reading your sites and she got into it too and eventually put a link to your sites on her blog.
Skip to this morning. This is how a phone call I received from my wife went.
Me: "Hi"
Wife: "Very funny"
Me: "What?"
Wife: "Why'd you do that?"
Me: "What?"
Wife: "Write that post on my blog."
Me: "What post?"
Wife: "The one were you pretend to be Heather."
Me: "huh?"
Wife: "You wrote it. I know you did."
Me: "Hold on."
At this point, there is a pause.
Me: "Ok, I was jut sitting down in a meeting with the head of marketing at XX bank (my client - I work for an ad agency), but I walked out to hear this. What did I do, now?"
Wife: "You wrote a post on my site as pretending to be Heather Whittaker. It's not funny. You're so weird."
Me: "No I didn't. I wouldn't do that. What did it say?"
She reads me the posts over the phone.
Me: "That wasn't me."
Wife: "You are such a liar. I know you did it."
Me: "Neen (What I call my wife - Nina). I promise I didn't do it."
Wife: "Yeah right, how would Heather find my site? You know you did it."
Me: "I don't know how she found it. Did you ever leave a post on her site. She could click on your name for the link back?
Wife: "No"
Me: "You didn't leave a comment on her last post about let me know who you guys are?"
Wife: "No. I felt too dumb."
Me: "You have a link to her on your site, she can probably see who is linking to her."
Wife: "She wouldn't be doing that."
Me: "How do you know? She said she was sick on her blog today. Maybe she's clicking through all the sites driving traffic to hers."
Wife: "No way! You did it. Who else would do that to me. I know it was you."
Me: "I swear to you. I didn't do it. I wouldn't think it was funny if you posted on my site as Carlos. It wasn't me. I have to get back into this meeting."
Wife: "I don't believe you."
Me: "Dear I didn't do it."
Wife: "I don't believe you."
--
That was our conversation this morning. I want to make it clear my wife was laughing the whole time. She was not being mean or anything, but she truly didn't believe it wasn't me.
We had about 3 more conversations like this throughout the day. I actually thought of sending you an email to ask if you could send my wife another post to tell her it was you again. Then this lovely second post came along.
Thank you Heather. You restored my wife's trust in me.

You are a baller. (In case you were wondering, that's a good thing.)
In fact, you are what we in Illinois call a CMB (cash money baller - the highest of the three levels of baller: baller, money baller, cash money baller).
Hope you're feeling better.

Yes...thanks for stopping by...us So Cal girls must stick together- even if I'm stuck in the desert and you're in the dirty south. ;)
I'm proud to say I survived 6 years in Oklahoma without sacrificing my California Girl status. If you start to say, "Do what?" (with a southern drawl) to people when you really need to be saying, "I'm sorry what did you say?" I will be worried!
