The Whittaker Brothel

Yes, I called our house a brothel. There are many roads I can take that, but what I am trying to say is that my  husband is the biggest stat ho I know.  And how does the phrase go?  You become who you hang around with.
So... lets do a little roll call/ link love

Tell me...
Who are you?
Do you have a blog?
Where are you from?
Tell me what's something on your list you have done and are proud of. And your not allowed to say I don't have a list. Just tell me something you've done in life that you are proud of.

And finally tell me if you have linked me and would like to be linked here.

I'll start,
I am Heather Whittaker, you all know my blog. I live in Atlanta but have to say I am from California.
I think the thing I am most proud of was hiking to the top of Mt. Whitney! Which is the highest mountain in the lower 48 states!
There you go. Your turn.

I'm Mandy Conforth..just another Mom w/ a blog. I've lived in IN for 2 years, but lived in OR for 29.

I've been working on my list for several years, so it's incomplete. One thing I've actaully finished is learning to sew & quilt. It's a lost art, and difficult...but I ACTUALLY finished something. That's a goal in itself for me!

I'm not sure if I've linked you. I read everyday (sometimes more than once) and am loving watching your kids grow up. We are a family night bunch as well, so I'm also loving your ideas!

Hi Heather! I'm Andrea...living in KY, working as a Resident Director for a women's dorm that houses 200...Talk about drama!

The thing I'm most proud of to date, is trekking to Mount Everest Base Camp a few years ago while living in Nepal. It was by far THE hardest thing I've ever done!

love your blog!

My name is Red Wine Gums
I come from Cork in Ireland and I have a blog
I have a list but most of it is for fun. (For some reason I can't link to it here but it is not hard to find when you visit)

Something cool I did. I helped write a speech for the leader of my country. It's also the reason I can't use my real name but if you're curious you can email me as your hubby already has it.

I have linked you... now. And would like to be linked if you actually interact on my blog. I guess I just like to think that the people on the blogroll matter to the blogger rather than some faceless text on the old interweb. If not it's fine. You are a blessing. Be Blessed :-)

Kelly
I live in Michigan but I was raised in Wyoming.

2 kids (twins) age 9

No blog...because I take up enough time just reading blogs.....

Something big I've done is get a 4.0 in nursing school, something I worked really hard on.

But the even bigger thing is that I gave up that nursing career, which was my life long dream, to be a stay at home mom to my kids and homeschool them. I'm very proud of that and I'm proud of my family. Glory to God!

My name is Susanne Reeder. My blog is called Truly Captivating (in honor of the book Captivating by John and Staci Eldredge...totally changed my life!) I am a SAHM with three kiddos, Hubs and I have recently jumped into the Church Planting ocean, and although sometimes it feels like I'm drowning, it's the most exciting adventure of my life. As far as my "list" goes, I haven't really started one...but last summer I flew to Dallas without husband or children, to attend some meetings. Might sound cheezy but it was quite liberating.

My name is Donel and we go way back!!! I ran my first marathon last October in San Francisco and raised $3100 for the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society.

I'm also a Heather, 30 years old and currently living in VA. Although, NC is home but my husband is in the military so we are never in one place for long.

I have two blogs: http://runningfromthelittlepeople.blogspot.com
and http://fromgreytogreen.blogspot.com

Hmmmm. Thing I'm most proud of on my list? I actually went rock climbing at Grandfather Mt. in NC. For a girl who is not fond of things like heights and falling, that's a big one for me!

I am Trevor DeVage from Dallas, TX. My blog is www.freshairpoetry.com. One thing from my list that I am proud of is preaching to 3000 students in India and seeing God move in over a 1000 students lives. It was straight book of Acts kind of stuff. And Finally...Yes I have linked my blog to here.

I'm Jess, a SAHM to 4 boys age 7 and under. We live in NW Wisconsin. I have a few blogs, but my family blog is linked to yours. margieboz.blogspot.com

Proudest accomplishment? Probably living the last 2 years on no income while my DH finishes his degree in Technology Education. We gave a up a very well paying job to achieve this and it's been the best thing for our family.

Hey H, I have been lurking on your blog for a few months. I live in Kansas but we are a military family so we move a lot. We have lived in Nebraska, Arizona, Texas, and now Kansas. I do have a blog but I am keeping it private. It is an adoption blog. We are adopting a sweet baby girl from South Korea using Holt and are waiting for our travel call at any moment. Your Korea videos inspired us to travel to pick up our daughter. We were going to use an escort but you made traveling look soooo fun. If you want my blog you can e-mail me.;o)

Hey Heather -

My name is Kaley, and I live in IN. I'm a newlywed, no kids (yet!). I recently started a blog, just for fun, www.kaleyjessica.blogspot.com

Something I completed on my list? Two years ago I completed a half-marathon... which is a huge accomplishment, because I am so NOT a runner!

My link list is still very small, however I would love to add you to it. I've been following your and Carlos' blog for awhile now. You guys are an inspiration to me.

-Nate Davis, Worship Pastor
-my blog: www.oneredpilot.com
-I'm proud of raising my 4 and 2 yr old. It's the hardest thing I've ever done and I'm proud to have the opportunity to do it, even if some days I suck at it.
-You are currently linked on my blog and yeah if you want...link me up!

Who are you? Russell Hawkins

Do you have a blog? http://www.themudpuppy.com

Where are you from? Clinton, Michigan (near Ann Arbor)

Something on your list you have done and are proud of. I have so much work to do on that list, but going to Wrigley field was a really big one crossed off my list.

Tell me if you have linked me and would like to be linked here. Absolutely.

I'm Amy Irwin, yes I have a blog. Yes I actually just recently linked you and Carlos. Hmm thing I've done in my life I'm most proud of?????? I think moving to florida at 22. I moved out here with no family, no friends, just me and to come be with Chris. I don't know anyone who even at 24 back home could make such a life changing decision and stick with it, especially after having a baby and doing that with out family help. Hopefully in the future I'll have something better to brag about : P

hi heather!

oh, and i do have a blog - www.lifeofgrowing.com

I'm Shanda, and I live in Tyler, TX. My blog is embracingandbeingembraced.blogspot.com.

I actually just did my 101 in 1001 list and this is not on there, one thing I am proud of is something I am currently involved in. I serve as a member of the Americorps program. It's basically a domestic Peace corp program. I spend my days serving low income (or in most cases, no income) individuals who are struggling with mental illnesses. I take them to the grocery store, food pantry, out to eat, doctor's appt, life skills classes, etc. One big perk is that a local movie theater allows us to go to the movies for free. I usually end up seeing two or three movies every week. :)

Who are you? Jessica
Do you have a blog? www.jessicaholt.blogspot.com
Where are you from? Atlanta...I met you and your cute family while I was living in California, though (Chick-fil-A stuff--through Rachel)
Tell me what's something on your list: Cross country road trip (twice now)

Oh, and yes I am linked to you, and since you are offering, I would love for you to link to me.
Thanks, Shanda

Hi, my name is Nikki, my blog is luvbug.typepad.com and I live in Grayson, GA (suburb of ATL). I have lived in the south all my life in between GA and MS (however I did live in CA for a summer - it was great!). I have to say I am most proud of who I have become. My teenage years were full of disappointments, abuse, drugs and self hate. On my wedding night (1998) my husband and myself decided to turn our lives over to God to hopefully make our marriage last (we were so lost and knew we would never make it on our own). Since then I have overcome many demons, I have become a RN (a lifelong dream), a mother of two (which was also a lifelong dream), and Jason and I have been married for 10 wonderful years. I love being a child of God and I want everyone to know it. God truly completes me!

I would love to be linked to your blog. You and Carlos are both linked on my blog. My husband (Jason) and I love reading your blogs. You are both so real!!

My name is Simone Widney. I'm a married mother of 2, originally from the Toronto area, but moved to Tulsa to marry her best friend. Said husband/bff moved us to Chicago last month, with his new job in a church.

I have a blogsite widneywoman.blogspot.com. I LOVE reading your blog and Carlos' blog. Reading your blog, Heather, has helped me during our move transition. Knowing you've been there and done that with kids was great.

One of my favorite accomplishments was running a 1/2 marathon. I was having a great race and was going to make my best time ever, until another runner had difficulties. By the end of the race, I'd picked up 4 stragglers. My motley crew ended up racing to beat the guys picking up the race pylons, to the finish line. I had to dig our completion medals out of a box, but I made sure every one of those dear souls received their medal.

I'm Tim in Atlanta (Emory) Author of Yellow Blog Journalism and I am most proud of my climb of Castle Peak in Idaho (the Paramount Pictures Mountain) Oh yeah...and Marrying my wife and having our first kid. That's pretty big too.

Who are you? My name is C.C., but I've renamed myself online LorelaiCC (because I'm such a HUGE!!!! fan of the Gilmore Girls)

Do you have a blog? yeppers, visit me at http://www.lorelaicc.com

Where are you from? Texas

Tell me what's something on your list you have done and are proud of. And your not allowed to say I don't have a list. Just tell me something you've done in life that you are proud of.
I have a list of 100 Things to Do Before 12/31/08, here's a link to it, I've gotten about 60% finished. http://lorelaicc.com/2008/03/25/update-100-things-to-do-before-december-31-2008/

Hey, I'm Amber Gentry, my blog is love4hischildren.wordpress.com, which I just started not to long ago so it is not all that jazzed up. I link your husband on my page and just haven't got around to adding you yet, but i will be today. I'm living in the arm pit of america Terre Haute, Indiana. My list of things I want to do doesn't really compare to what God has done in me, through me, and still is knocking me around to do. But I do have two favorite times so far in this earthly life....moving around from ATL to Illionis to Indiana all in one year, never got tired once and to be honest I'm ready to move again. And the best part in life right now is that I was patient and prayed for the man that God would send me in His time for me to marry and it happen....so I will be marrying the man that God choose for me on June 7, 2008....you all are invited if you want to come to Indiana.

Heather thanks for asking..

My name is Kat.

I have a blog: http://www.thesecretlifeofkat.com

I live in Texas with my husband and 3 kids.

I claim the "Jesus and Family Qualifier" - meaning it goes without saying that those are those the things I'm proud of....but of course I had to say it anyway....

Besides the "JFQ", I'm most proud of the fact that I walked on to the Baylor University tennis team. The coach happened to walk by when I was out practicing for fun and asked me if I would try out for the team. It was a dream come true.

Hi!
Ladybug Crossing is my blogging name. I have a real name, but it's a secret. We live in No. VA.
I have 1 husband and 2 children - 15.5 and 13. The oldest, #1, plays sax. The youngest, LLB, plays trumpet. They are all around great kids - even though they make me crazy sometimes. Mr. and I have been married a really long time - almost 19 years. After all these years, he still makes me laugh - he's the best!
I ring handbells, direct handbell choirs, am involved in the guild and generally love music.
I'm just a mom with a blog.
My list... umm.. what list? Oh.. I lost it somewhere on my desk and I'm too busy to find it.
Come on over and visit.

Hey! I'm Jennafer Loving. I found your blog a while ago through my friends The Peters Kids.

I've been blogging at www.atlantalovings.com since my oldest daughter was born (4 years) but have only really gotten into it recently. It's my creative outlet as a former English major!

I grew up in the N. Ga mountains, but we live in Alpharetta now and love it.

I don't have a list (yet!) but one thing I am pretty proud of is quitting my high-pressure/high-paying job in a family business to be a stay-at-home mom to my girls. It's not always the right choice for everyone but it is for me (at least most days) and it was the hardest decision I've ever made.

I do have a link to your site on my blog and I always enjoy reading your posts!

Hello!

Pretty snazzy little idea you have here.

So...um....yeah.

I have a blog. www.russellsabode.com

I am from Memphis. Born and raised. 32 years old. Married to a beautiful woman I met in college.

Thing I am most proud of...wow. Um. Raising two boys to the ages of 10 and 7 without harming them or myself. Does that count?

I'm Amy Beth from www.ministrysofabulous.com.

I'm from TN and probably the most exciting thing I've ever done from my list was take a vacation. By myself. Randomly.

I'm Eric Jones aka jonese aka gigado. I blog at http://www.jonese.us and I call Annapolis MD home but I'm an army brat so you can also include AZ, AR, and most of Europe in that as well :) Currently I'm most proud of my work with the Unthinkable Project and the Unthinkable Project Blog (http://www.unthinkableproject.org/ :: http://www.unthinkableblog.com/)

I haven't linked to you yet, but i will soon! No return link is necessary unless you find my stuff interesting.

Keep on blogging you and Carlos are awesome!

Noelle Larson

I've been blogging for 4 years. Metromom.org. It is good therapy. I've got a 6 year old drama queen and a 2 year old son - and one FINAL kid on the way.

I am Joe Louthan. My blog is at http://www.iamlivingproof.org/. Lived in Texas for most of my life but lived in Florida and Washington State for a spell or two.

The only great thing I have done as an adult is being a father. Other than that, I am satisfied that I was a combat photographer when I was in the US Air Force and won numerous awards. Also, I can draw very well (I wanted to be a comic book artist when I was a kid). Without trying, I have touched the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian oceans and the continents of Europe and Africa. I am Korean/Angelo and yet never step foot in Korea. I have a heart for the Jewish people and their culture and language.

You are linked.

Wow! Admidst all these blogging mums, here is me. From Liverpool, England, but living and working in Cairo, Egypt. I've been blogging for nearly two years, and it's all your husband's fault. I am most proud of opportunities I have taken to train up Egyptian worship leaders and ministers to be more effective at getting people into God.

I think we're linked.

Hi Heather!

I'm April. From Chicago. I'm a college student graduating next week! (woohoo) I found your blog through your husbands (because of Losiahs adoption)

I'm actually Korean-American as well (well the as well pertaining to your son)! The proudest thing I did... Mmmm.. Going to Korea and living there for 6 months and volunteering at an orphanage and at the adoption agency.

I also do not blog....so. I facebook? =) haha

Hi, Heather! I'm Tracy Edwards from NC and got introduced to your blog via Shaun Groves by way of Carlos! I loved reading all of you blogs during your Uganda trip and have continued to read yours and have linked to you. Feel free to link back if you want. My blog is http://tracyedwards.wordpress.com.

I have been racking my brain about what I am most proud of b/c I think we all try to think of something major and huge. But, really, I am most proud of the work I do every day as a dentist. I love getting to know my patients and helping to solve their dental problems, at least. It's a great job.

Hi Heather.

My blog: paul-vasilko.blogspot.com

I'm Paul Vasilko, from Jacksonville, Illinois. I'm a teacher right now, but I just got done traveling for two years with a full-time music missions group. So that's something that I am proud of!

You are linked on my blog and I would love to be linked on yours!

Hi Heather - I think you will be catching up to Carlos in the stat wars soon. And I hope to help you!

My greatest acheivement - other than the fact that I've homeschooled one kid to graduation this year and another to 9th grade - is taking over the role of extended family connection point after the death of my dad and my mom sliding into dementia. Hubby and I hold us all together, and I am proud of that.

My blog deals with getting a life out in the community - in the "Third Place." I am linked to you, of course, and would certainly love to be linked back! There is also a link on my site to my personal blog, which tends to wander through bizarre worlds.

Thanks for the idea here!

Amy Storms...originally from the midwest but now from Santa Clarita, CA. I have a blog, and my proudest accomplishment would have to be my three kids, but, to be fair, I had a little help with them.

Alrighty, here we go! I am Angie Watts, www.thatangiegirl.wordpress.com. I live in Kansas City. I just graduated college this past sunday and will be starting a new position on our student staff at Westside Family Church in a few weeks...thats what im most proud of.

I do have you linked on my blog, so feel free to add me to yours if you want!

Hi there!
I'm Paloma.
Born and raised in LA, then San Diego.
I've been following here since your Africa trip.

I'd say my favorite thing I've checked off my list would be my 2 trips to South Africa so far. That place is wonderfully addictive (as is all of Africa from what I know!), so I'm sure I'll go back again...

Your family is lovely. Thanks for sharing all of your fun moments with us!

I'm Anne Marie. From Miami, FL but headed to North Carolina in 3 months to go to seminary. I've served in missions all over Latin America, and loved it. What I really hope for one day, though, is to work with Muslim immigrants in Europe.
You've been on my blogroll for some time... I'd love to be linked from yours!

Chris Harvey

I am from Southern California as well, currently in Louisville, KY (Youth Leader, Hispanic Church).

We are linked, but my blog just changed (Baller on a Mission is now www.baller21.com).

Accomplishments? Investing into Hispanic youth group, trying to be a loving husband, and on a lighter note, I have been to the Master's (Augusta National in Georgia).

I'm Anna. I'm 21. I'm from the Midwest and I'm graduating from college in 4 days!! I went to Peru last summer and worked in orphanages. And yes, I have a blog. :)

Hey Heather, I'm Tabitha at 123pizza.org and live in Oklahoma.

My accomplishment is that I taught myself to knit several months ago. I've always wanted to learn and figured I'd wait till my youngest was older (she' two). One day I said screw it and borrowed some books from a friend and the rest is history.

I have you linked and you can go ahead and link to me also.
