The Whittaker Brothel

Yes, I called our house a brothel. There are many roads I can take that, but what I am trying to say is that my  husband is the biggest stat ho I know.  And how does the phrase go?  You become who you hang around with.
So... lets do a little roll call/ link love

Tell me...
Who are you?
Do you have a blog?
Where are you from?
Tell me what's something on your list you have done and are proud of. And your not allowed to say I don't have a list. Just tell me something you've done in life that you are proud of.

And finally tell me if you have linked me and would like to be linked here.

I'll start,
I am Heather Whittaker, you all know my blog. I live in Atlanta but have to say I am from California.
I think the thing I am most proud of was hiking to the top of Mt. Whitney! Which is the highest mountain in the lower 48 states!
There you go. Your turn.

You husband left a one word comment on my blog once and I was thrilled that I shouted out loud. So, if you leave me a comment I might even scream louder. (smile).
My biggest accomplishment of late --I wrote on my blog today actually. I made it to the 5 AM cycling/spinning class. Hooray for me! It is time to lose some of the dreaded postpartum baby weight. Love reading your blog too! Thank you for the link love!
Blessings,
Bella

Hi, I am Jenny Platt
My blog's name is Princess of Quite A Lot. Yes, I have a link on my blog to your blog (which I love soooo much!). I live in Los Alamitos, CA.
The thing I am proudest of is that I am a good friend. I cherish my friendships and make them a priority.

I'm Jessica, married, mom, follower of Christ...

I am a recent transplant to Bakersfield, CA but spent most of my childhood in Colorado and my HS/college years in Riverside, CA.

Something I crossed off my list and has me super excited is that I started painting this year.

Yes, you are linked!

I'm Alex (Alexsandra) from Windsor, Ontario, Canada. I started a blog to share the words that inspire me.
I am most proud of raising a wonderful daughter by the grace of God after my husband passed away when she was 12. She's 24 now, she reads my blog and tells me to "keep writing!"
I read your blog because it reminds me of those precious days when she was the age of yours, those were special memories. I relive them through you and your family. You are an awesome mom!

Hi - I'm Brandi, 33 year old mom of three boys.
My blog is only 4 days old... http://brandiandboys.wordpress.com/
I live in Franklin, TN, right outside of Nashville. We been here 7 years and started www.crosspoint.tv five years ago.
One thing I am proud of is I have a graduate degree. I no longer work in that area, :) but was the first person on both sides of my family to complete a college education and then follow up with grad school.
You were one of my first five links! And you met my cute husband last night at Bahama Breeze (Pete).

almost forgot...
you are linked on my blog and I would be honored to be linked on your blog too!
thanks

I'm Jennifer and I do have a blog. I'm from NC, born and raised. I think the thing I'm most proud of is staying home with my kids and home schooling them. It's not easy, but the Lord called us to this and I'm proud that we've been obedient.
I enjoy your blog---found you through BooMama during your trip to Uganda. We're going on mission at the end of the month (Brazil)---can't wait!!

I have you on my google reader and you can link to me too.

We have quite a few friends and family in GA. God bless you for "bringing LA to ALT"

Hi I'm Maren Vargas. I have a blog, or at least the starts of one. I only started blogging last month. I live in Atlanta, but I am from Chicago and miss it terribly. I am proud of the fact that I moved up with my employer to a management position that allows me to work from home and be with my boys. I have linked to you and your husband and would love it if you linked to me.

Hey Heather--My name is Anna and I am from Mississippi. My husband and I share a blog and are currently in the process of renovating it! We started it to blog about our compassion experience BUT have decided keep it going. (expecially since we are going to start the adoption process soon)!

I got to cross something off my list last month--got to travel to Ghana to meet our compassion child! Awesome experience!!

you are linked so link back if you want :)

Hi

I am JanMary from Northern Ireland, and 40.

I am a SAHM with 3 kids, and I love blogs, photography and digital scrapbooking.

I found you through the Compassion Trip and you are on my blogroll.

If you would like to add me, my blog is http://www.welcometomyworldjanmary.blogspot.com. I started blogging just over a year ago, and love it.

What am I most proud of? Stopping work to be a SAHM, and living through post natal depression, and now helping others.

Thanks

Hey! I'm Davis, from Atlanta, - not remembering how or why I am blogging these days, but I do have a blog. I have had you linked on my blog b/c I wanted everyone to learn more about compassion - I found your site while y'all were over there. A-Mazing. Re-fueled my tank for Compassion. Ummmm, climbing Half Dome was a big feat for me as I think I have a little fear of heights. I can always look back to that moment of reaching the top (and waiting for a helicopter to come get me) & know I can do anything. But my true hearts' desire was to be a mom & I wasn't always sure that I could have children - so that one tops my list & stays there with me having nothing to do with it!

I'm Jen Brewer.
I'm at the4brewers.blogspot.com
I am from Cumming, GA. (north of ATL on lake)
I lived in Guatemala for 3 months as a missionary.
(i think I may put that back on my list to do again)

Hi ya. Lori Zimbardi. walkingalongside.typepad.com/lorisblog
I have lived in Riverside CA my whole life. I am most proud of having a 14 1/2 year old daughter that loves God but also still loves and wants to spend time with her Mom!

I'm Christie and I live in Columbus, Ga. I don't have a blog but I read yours and think it's great! I am a teacher and the thing I most proud of is finishing my Master's!

my name is lindsay. i'm a mom with a blog. i just ran 10 miles in the broad street run in philly, the longest i've ever ran before!

My name is Emily. I live in Texas. I am a mom of 6, but 2 are waiting for us to come to Ethiopia to bring them home. Adoption wasn't on my list a little over a year ago, but it has significantly changed my life!

I found you from your husband, but would love to have girl power overtake things at ragamuffin soul. I love some healthy competition any day. I have a blog, it started as an adoption thing, but I am pretty hooked on many non-adoption blogs now too.

I linked you today- I have been meaning to b/c I have been reading daily and then this post! Very cool. Feel free to link me- www.teamalexander.blogspot.com

Hey, I'm Patrick and I do have a blog. I'm from St. Simons Island, Georgia. The greatest thing on my list would be marrying my gorgeous wife and playing drums for a Grammy winning vocalist - the band is actually in the ATL and you might just know them.

Jenni Clayville
blog: www.jenniclayville.com
I'm from Seattle, but call Portland home now.
I'd love for you to link me - you've been linked on mine for some time now.

Biggest accomplishment: my son is still alive. Amazing, considering the fact I can't keep a plant alive to save my life.
Biggest fear achievement: Skydiving!

Blog? Got it!

My proudest moment has to be recently graduating from college. I start teaching high school biology (special education - learning disabilities) in the Fall, so seeing my future students succeed is one of the top things on my list right now.

Found Ragamuffin's blog link through another blog I read and found yours from there. You guys are truly inspiring and I love reading when I get the chance! Just linked both of you on my blogroll!

Hello Heather and fellow readers! My name is Kim aka: Crazy Daisy. I'm from the mid-west USA. I do have a blog (http://foreverdaisies.blogspot.com/), and read many! It is SO time consuming, but so much fun! I have had a list since I was in middle school. I am continuing to add stuff, as well as cross stuff off! My latest list accomplishment is finishing my Master's Degree. I'll be graduating from my program this Friday!!! And Finally, You are linked, and I'm always up for linky love!

Hi Heather!

I'm a long-time reader of your blog and your man's blog.

My name is Doug. My wife, Carmi, and I live in North Carolina. I journal about the craziness in our house at Henderson Home Online ( http://www.hendersonhomeonline.com ).

One of the things we're most proud of is that we have adopted two incredible daughters from China. The oldest (adopted in 2002) turned 6 on February 20th and the youngest (adopted in 2007) turned 3 on February 1st. They are both amazing girls and I just can't get enough of them.

We are in the process right now of adopting a 12-year-old boy from China. We received pre-approval just today and look to travel either by the end of the year or the very beginning of next year.

I'm debbie d., I'm from St. Louis, Missouri, I used to have a blog but discontinued writing because I needed to spend more time with real live people and not the peeps in cyberspace (though I love reading blogs!), and one of my proudest accomplishments is overcoming my fear of flying by becoming a licensed private pilot.

Hi Heather! I'm Christina Ellis. I'm from Riverside, CA. I'm Adam McIntyre's assistant in the Celebrative Arts department at The Grove. You can find my blog at http://ilovearthistory.blogspot.com

I'm a newlywed (almost 9 months) with a baby on the way (due in 6 months) both of which are on my list of things to accomplish. I've also traveled to Asia, Europe, Australia, Africa and North America. Only two more to go!

I just added you to my blogroll, but I've had you on my google reader for a few months. You can add me back if you like, but don't have to. :]

Charlotte
Born and raised in good ol' GA.
We are not linked but enjoy visiting your blog. I will link you if it is OK. You can link me :-)
My list consists of
Most proud of-birthing two kids and being prego with my third
very proud of-taking time to regularly do something as a family
think I am well rounded because of-traveling on mission trips to Aussie land, Peru, Spain, Africa and Canada
LOVED the under the sea family night!!

Who are you?
-Rachel. Pleased to "meet" you.

Do you have a blog?
-Indeed I do.

Where are you from?
-Western Michigan originally. Tulsa, Oklahoma currently.

Tell me what's something on your list you have done and are proud of.
-I jumped out of a perfectly good airplane once. Fortunately, I was strapped (all too tightly) to a veteran skydiving instructor and we had a perfectly good parachute and about 10,000 feet of pure adrenaline. One of the most amazing experiences of my life.

p.s. I have not yet linked to you, but perhaps I should! The other half of the equation is up to you.

Hello. :-)
Robin Moore
Riverside, CA
22 years old
I just finished my teaching credential. Like, just finished two days ago. The actual credential will be in my hands in 1 week. Weird. I am proud of that.
Also, I have 3 places I'd like to see before I die, and one is Africa...and I'm going in 1.5 months! Yay.
Miss ya'll.

Hey! Love your blog. I have a blog called 'a long way from the Theta House' because my hub runs an inner city in West Dallas and we live in the 'hood and have 6 children. Ok, 4 and two boys living with us because their parents were on Crack. There you have it. I haven't done anything extraordinary because well...I don't have time.

Hi Heather! I'm Angela at www.sunflowerhilldiary.blogspot.com, and I live in my hometown. It's a small little place 50 miles south of the ATL! Come visit us in July and have a family picture made in the sunflowers - if the weather agrees this season!

You were so sweet to email me not too long ago about the song your husband used for a video with one of your girls, by Steven Curtis Chapman. It's now one of our favorites!

Hmmm... I do not have a list (I wish I were so organized!) but one of my favorite accomplishments is staying at home to raise our children. It is the most rewarding, yet hardest things I have ever done... thank goodness God is walking this path with me!

You are now linked on my page - I should have done so a long time ago as I stop by most every day...

I am Cathi. I have a blog [http://cathistegall.com].
I call Cleveland, Ohio my home but am still trying to sell our home in south florida...any bidders?
My list is comprised of some academic nerdy things, like editing and helping publish a notebook for therapists [hopefully there'll be more on the way]. As for adventures, I've never run a marathon, but I pull all nighters often. Does that count? I'm a church planter/pastor's wife, which would definitely prompt some kind of adventure.

And you've been rollin' on my blog for a while now. It's nice having you around fo'sho'!

My name is Meg and I live in IL. Yes I have a blog... http://anotherseasonfadesaway.blogspot.com
Something on my list that I am currently proud of is surviving (thus far) through nursing school. I graduate in December. Woohoo! I do not have you linked on my blog, but if you want to link me that's fine. Your decision! :)

Hi, I'm Cari and I live in the suburbs of Boston. I don't really have a blog per se but my daughter has a website that my husband and I update with her progress (http://www.caringbridge.org/ma/jessica/).

I would say that my proudest achievement has been nursing (and I'm not a nurse by official training) my daughter back to health after a stem cell transplant. I'm not sure it was ever on my "List" but life has a way of throwing us curve-balls.

I love reading your blog (and your husband's too)!

My name is Erin Williams. I have a couple of blogs...only one of which I am really able to keep up with. One is a family blog and the other is a "new mommy" blog, called www.mybabymom.com.

Heather, I love reading your posts as I can slightly relate to your story. My husband and I felt God leading us to Seattle from Southern California, so that my husband could lead worship at a church plant called Pathways Church. We have been here 2.5 years. I'm still not ready to call the Pacific Northwest my home, since my feet haven't thawed out since I've been here. You can take the girl out of So. Cal, but...

I would say the thing that I am most proud of (and I'm not sure if I'm allowed to be proud of this) is really...and finally...listening to God's calling and stepping out.

I do link to you from both blogs, and would love for you to link to me.

Thank you!

Hi Heather! My name is Jenn, I'm a stay-at-home mom to a 5 year old princess girl and I live way up here in Maine. I have a blog that I just started about our adoption from Korea! I would LOVE it if you linked to me. You're already on my blogroll. :)

I am from Puerto Rico. I am proud that i moved from an island to the big city of Los Angeles completely alone, no family or aven working knowledge of English at the time and got my bachelors and stayed out of trouble with all the temptations of being alone in a big city. I am also proud to be a single woman living a life of purity in LA waiting on God to bring the right person.
Of my list I have gone to an orphanage in mexico, went to New York, Puerto Rico and planning on going to Rwanda in June 08 spending my birthday in Ethiopia!!!

Hi Heather - love your blog (and Carlos' as well) I have you both linked (and would love to be linked!) I live in NC and without a doubt the thing I am the most proud of is my 3 beautiful kids. However, I am thinking of starting a list of my own - it's so easy to lose yourself in the role of mother and forget who you really are.

My name is Cameron and I am a wife/mom/teacher/youth ministry volunteer from the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I have lived here my whole life and love it.

There are so many things on my (unofficial) list I would love to do. I most love teaching myself to do random things. A few things I've checked off: teaching myself to use a sewing machine (that was a huge one for me); teaching myself to play the guitar; and building a coffee table from branches from a tree in my back yard.

I love your blog and have shown you some link love on my site. I have a blog too at http://clowe-imhere.blogspot.com
