The Whittaker Brothel

Yes, I called our house a brothel. There are many roads I can take that, but what I am trying to say is that my  husband is the biggest stat ho I know.  And how does the phrase go?  You become who you hang around with.
So... lets do a little roll call/ link love

Tell me...
Who are you?
Do you have a blog?
Where are you from?
Tell me what's something on your list you have done and are proud of. And your not allowed to say I don't have a list. Just tell me something you've done in life that you are proud of.

And finally tell me if you have linked me and would like to be linked here.

I'll start,
I am Heather Whittaker, you all know my blog. I live in Atlanta but have to say I am from California.
I think the thing I am most proud of was hiking to the top of Mt. Whitney! Which is the highest mountain in the lower 48 states!
There you go. Your turn.

You are a stat ho. I love it. I'll be home soon honey. ;)

I am from San Jose, CA originally, now living in SoCal in Riverside County in Temecula.

I do not have a list, but a picture of how I want to leave this life.

You have my link love, of course.

Who are you? Linda Sue Buhl aged 60 years and some months, married, no children
Do you have a blog? Yes ma'am but not a fancy one - just a free blogspot type blog.
Where are you from? Texas
Tell me what's something on your list you have done and are proud of. - I graduated from college - took me 12 years and a drug problem and some heavy drinking and a divorce - but I did it.

And finally tell me if you have linked me and would like to be linked here. Haven't linked you - will be happy to do it because your blogging has evolved really quickly and FAR beyong my little rural granny stuff I write. But if anyone needs a recipe or dose of aging woman's random thoughts - www.teambuhl.blogspot.com

I am Tahni Voelz. My blog is http://tahnivoelz.blogspot.com. Like you, I am from California but I am a nomad currently residing in Jackson, Michigan, having lived in Oregon and Washington also. I want to make my list longer after reading your list a month or two back . . . however, being of an older generation I do have a mission statement (dead giveaway on my age I know.) Part of my mission statement is to be the best mom possible raising our children to be well adjusted, confident and loving adults who seek to serve God where He shows them. One is an adult already - grown and married. I'm really, really proud of my kids. And, I don't take all the credit - I'm just really proud of the people they are.

Hi Heather:

I found your blog through Carlos' (I went to Berry College with him).
I have a blog - I don't currently have yours linked, but I can totally add it. I live in Tallahassee, FL but am from Snellville, GA. Love the ATL - hoping to move back there soon!

My greatest accomplishment to date (other than motherhood!) is signing up for the 3 Day Walk for Breast Cancer - in Atlanta in October - to honor my grandma who lost her battle with breast cancer 5 years ago. I just started training this week. So excited.

Love your blog!

Hi Heather,
Thanks for the comment over at my blog. I would love for you to link to me...and I will share the love! You are one of my daily reads...thanks for keepin' it real!

Do you have a blog? http://pinkhairedgirl.net
Where are you from? Kansas but my heart is in South Africa.

And finally tell me if you have linked me and would like to be linked here. - Oh yes, we're linked.

Hey. :-)

Hey Heather...

I am Eric Morgan. I am 36. I am in Huntsville, Alabama. I do Creative/Media work for Sojourn Church.

Helping plant a church has been an amazing ride that I am still stoked about.

Hi Heather! My name is Rebecca Moon; I have a blog, and I live in Braselton, Georgia...it's about 30 minutes north of Atlanta, where the big castle (Chateau Elan) is off 85. I'm an English teacher, but my favorite thing to do is worship design & production at a church called The Vine.

The coolest thing I've ever done was take a year off from teaching to stay home with my youngest daughter this year...it was a big deal for me to give up my career and our financial stability, and it's the best decision i ever made! You just can't get that tiny baby time back...

You're linked, and if you want to link me I'm down with that.

My name is Kevin. I'm just a pastor down in Jacksonville trying to lead some youth and college students. I love being creative, I think I have ADD, though I am afraid to get tested for it, I do blog and LOVE IT!!! Here's my blog: www.pluth.org The one thing I am most proud of are my two beautiful daughters, and their bomb.com mom!!

Kelly, mid-30s, SAHM to three kids, ages 6, 4 and 3 months.

This is my blog. I found you via the Compassion trip, and I'm here for the long haul.

And the thing I'm most proud of? Giving birth without any medication -- which was SO NOT ON MY LIST. But our son came quickly -- almost had him in the car -- and I survived. So I'm proud of that.

I'm Chelsea Caivano. Grew up in LA but moved to San Antonio for college and never looked back. Accomplishments? Gave birth twice without drugs, once with. (I prefer the former.) Stuck it out when the marriage got rocky, and I'm so glad I did. Co-authored a horribly boring book and made $47 in royalties. Never cashed that check.

hi, my name is stephanie lee, i think you know my blog. i have a beautiful friend named heather that i am proud of meeting. that would be one thing off my "list". meeting the whittaker clan. life changing. linked to: yes, want you to link to: if you think i am worthy!!! :)

My name is Soliloquy.

My blog is www.shejusthadtosayit.com

I live in Atlanta.

Biggest accomplishment? Believing what God has to say about me. For real.
http://www.shejusthadtosayit.com/2008/04/21/becoming-soliloquy/

I HAVE linked to you. IN my FIRST ever post, because it was YOUR blog that inspired me to start one of my own. Also, for real.
http://www.shejusthadtosayit.com/2008/02/07/is-anonymous-authenticity-an-oxymoron/

OK so here's my blog... http://www.myspecialks.blogspot.com ... Who am I? Wellllll I'm Renee, mom of 4, wife to a Soldier, blah blah blah... you know me. What I'm proud of? Well, you're going to have to wait for 2 days. I'm not allowed to post it yet... wait for it, and wonder! ;) And yes, feel free to link away... I wanna be a stat ho too! haha

My name is Laura and I'm from Franklin, Tennessee (best place on earth :) )

my blog is asianchocolate.typepad.com

The most recent thing I marked off my list was the half marathon. My next goal is the full marathon!

I already link you and you already link me - so we're already established as blog friends. Love your blog!! :)

I'm Shannon Lowe at rocksinmydryer.net, and I'm in Oklahoma (but FROM Arkansas).

I'm pretty proud of the Uganda trip, actually.

Hello, Hello -

My name is Liz - I'm from Knoxville, but have lived in Nashville for 10 years now - from my list ... well ...

a. I'm such a Type B that I don't have a list b/c lists are too Type A for me, but ...

b. since I'm turning 30 this month I should probably start a list ... so ...

c. I'll say ... helping others make their dreams come true (others being musicians/artists here in town).

Hi Heather, I'm Emily. I'm from Colorado and am a college student (for 2 more weeks anyway. Then I have to grow up and find a real job. Yipes!)

I have a blog that you're linked to and wouldn't say no to a little link love.

One thing I've crossed off my list is conquering the Spanish language. When I was 18 I went to Mexico to teach English and had never taken any Spanish, so I was completely lost. Now it's 5 years later and I'm pretty close to being fluent.

WOW Heather - You go Girl -

Hi Heather,

rock star and we are still married ( happily ).
We moved from LA three years ago to washington state and are thinking about moving to Italy in the next couple of years.

Hi I am Christal. I live in So Cal and claim I am from all over CA. I've lived in the E. Bay, S. Bay, Fresno, the 909 and Big Bear and not to leave out Cold Springs...I do have a blog as well. It makes me happy.

The thing that I have done that I am the most proud of is having 2 babies. I was physically never supposed to have 1 let alone 2 and the second almost took me out. What can I say I was not made to have babies. But I did and although the youngest is 7 months now and I am huge, as of 3 months ago, I can walk for the first time in almost a year, I have finally slept 5 hours once in 3 1/2 years, no longer nervous to go to the drs office or be wheeled into the drs office, I can actually run and play chase with my two year old, hold and kiss both boys at the same time...I know it seems simple but it was hard. 2 babies in 3 yrs...a double miracle! I MADE IT!!! I finally past the light at the end of the tunnel.

For the first time in nearly 4 years I can focus on being me again. But I will never forget the friends and family who held our arms high as we tried to fight to stay healthy and come out in the end...I know that God sent them my way!!!

Who are you? Eryn
Do you have a blog? Yes, I do. (http://erynj.blogspot.com/)
Where are you from? Fresno

I have two:

*I went to the High School Musical 1 Concert and took pictures and put them on my Flickr account. One day I was searching my name Flickr user name on Google (I know that's kinda weird) and then I found out that they used my pictures of some of the main charcters on their Wikipedia biographies.

*I was asked and got to be the photographer for Tsunami Youth Conference Long Beach this last December.

I'm Alicia from Riverside Ca

My accomplishment was going on a missions trip to Mexico and helping with a VBS for the kids there - uh maze ing !

Who are you? Amy Cathy
Do you have a blog? YES! amyandmarkcathy.blogspot.com
Where are you from? I'm from Atlanta but I've been in California for 3 years and it is quickly becoming "home" for my husband and I.
Tell me what's something on your list: I actually have 2 (I know, that's probably illegal, but whatever) I traveled Europe and lived in 2 different countries and I also applied for law school.
I loved spending Thanksgiving with your sweet family last year and I'm looking forward to see you all this weekend! You are definitely linked on my page and I see I am on yours too!

Hi Heather

I've been reading your blog (and Carlos) since Boomama linked to you for Uganda.

I'm Marcia from Johannesburg, South Africa! Although writing this comment from LONDON where I'm busy crossing off lots from my list. I'm 5 days into a 3-week holiday - still have Wales, Scotland and Ireland to do - can't WAIT for Ireland.

Anywayyy, yes, I do blog on http://takechargeofyourlife.blogspot.com and http://organisingtips.blogspot.com.

Aside from making my travel dreams come true, the thing I'm most proud of is...

actually starting my business - my ultimate is to be travelling around the world talking about how to set and achieve your goals, time management, that kind of thing - and I started along those lines nearly 3 years ago!

Thanks for asking - it's been good to share. BTW, love your new header!

Hi!

I've been reading your blog for quite a while, since I found it on Los' link love.

I'm a 25-year-old newly-wed about to become a father. I am from Riverside too! I now live in Creedmoor, NC where I develop software by day and work to build our church fellowship by night/weekend.

The coolest thing I've done so far is spend a year ministering in a closed muslim country, and then getting kicked out!

My blog is at http://zackriesland.wordpress.com and YOU are most definitely on the blogroll!

PS - I would love to be on your blogroll too :0)

Pam at Without Fear
Yes, I've got a blog.

Being a huge Anne of Green Gables fan, I am proud to have gone to her land and tooled around Prince Edward Island on a fabulous vacation.

I've linked with you ever since you went to Uganda and would love for you to link me here too. I have three children, two older girls and a younger boy, so your family has a sweet spot in my heart.

I am Greg, from gregramer.com here in sticky Tallahassee, FL.

My proudest accomplishment will be in three months when I walk across the stage to receive my four-year English degree after twelve years of school!

Yes, I would love some link love, I have been following you and "your hot man" (your words, not mine) for a while now. Thanks.

Hi, I'm Cindi Mathys from Ashland, Ohio.
I do not have a blog but I love yours.
The only thing ever on my list was being someone's Mom and I'm so proud of the son we adopted 8 years ago - he is my world! We had no money for a private adoption, I had a hysterectomy, we were trying to adopt through the state when a very distant relative asked us to adopt her baby. Makes me cry just to think about it today. . . We are very blessed!!!

Keep blogging, Heather. I look forward to this everyday.

Hi Heather! I'm Kerry Gibson from Texas. Yee Haw! I love reading both you and Carlos and linked to y'all just after finding you a few months back...Not that my humble blog brings you a whole lot of traffic or anything!

Let's see, I'm not supposed to say I don't have a list. But, I don't have a list.

Probably the craziest thing I've done (or we've done) is moved 7 times in our 9 years of marriage. Crazy, I know! Our closets are very clean though...that is one advantage of not staying in one place for long!

I'd love for you to link to me. http://www.justusgibsons.blogspot.com

I'm Daniel Rhoten, who slaps together the Avant Garde Faith blog - (http://avantgardefaith.blogspot.com/). I live in The No - born and raised California boy. My most endearing accomplishment in life so far is the short film I'm producing right now!

My name is Brandi. I live in Colorado, but grew up in Cali and NY.

I have a blog, but I neglect it, I spend WAY.TOO.MUCH.TIME. reading other blogs.

I am a mom and a student.

My list is constantly growing... but I will be marking something off in about 1.5 weeks. I'll be graduating from College.

Don't bother linking to me...there is nothing interesting there.

Have a GREAT DAY...and GOD BLESS.

Let's talk Base Camp! Email me with any questions! mindingthegap@hotmail.com

Hi, Heather! I am late to this, but I will comment anyway. :o) I found your blog via terrible speller. (I used to work with double 3. I don't really have a list, but I suppose one thing I am glad to have accomplished is surviving childbirth (with an epidural, of course). :o)

I'm Susan, AKA Brian's mom, and I check your blog everyday via Brian and Jacinda's blogs. You need to use your influence to get them to blog everyday!! I am most proud of successfully raising 2 wonderful and loving sons. Happy Mother's Day to you!

Hi! I've had you linked for awhile - I link all the blogs I read consistently! I don't know if that's proper blogging ettiquite or not! If you want to link me, go for it!
We go way back :) but I've really enjoyed getting to know the real you since we've become blog friends!
Oh I live in Colorado. I think, honestly, I'm most proud that my marriage survived a gigantic hurdle a few years ago and is stronger and healthier now. There's a little raw honesty for you. :)
Thanks for your blog and for keeping up with us - it's been fun! Oh, check my blog today - we had this random connection to you guys the other night and I blogged about it. Carlos' inspiration is reaching people everywhere!

Hey I already read this, but I guess I should become you're #147. Mine is still the full marathon in San Fransisco in 2005. We're already linked cuz we're BFF's!

Hi Heather!

I'm Cori from Chicago. I've found your and Carlos' blogs over a year ago when we were first starting to research Korean adoption. (We are waiting for our referral right now and hope to be in Korea by the early Fall!)We have a family blog, but I probably shouldn't link directly to it.

Something crossed off my list? I saw my childhood favorite baseball team (Atlanta Braves) play my hometown team (Chicago Cubs) not once, but twice ... with the iconic Greg Maddox pitching.

I check your blog every day. Thanks for being such an honest example!

My name's Jen and I'm a blog-aholic. Just kidding. But yes I blog. Lessons Learned (www.aggiechick03.blogspot.com). I teach Pre-K in Houston, Tx.
I'm super proud of running a 15K and I just did it on Sunday! :) I ran the whole 9.3 miles. It's training for another thing on my list... to run a half marathon (which I'm doing in Chicago in September).

I am Amy. I live in Atlanta and I am proud that I walked the Peachtree Road Race in my state of fluffiness. I am also proud to be waiting for our daughter in China.

I am linking you even though this is an old post and you may not even read this, heehee!

Feel free to link!
