Family Night #9 Goldilocks and the three bears
It all started with this Build-A-Bear gift Sohaila got for her birthday. I wanted to make more of the gift than just making the bears. So my wheels began to turn and I tried to think of what stories had bears in it, and Goldilocks and the tree bears came to mind. And with my luck the present had three bears in it!
The day started with the idea and the girls and I talked through it. We told the story to each other and realized that it would be really fun to do a play of it. So the wheels began to turn again and realized I had my three little bears, and I also have a very dramatic husband so the roles were assigned.
Meet Goldilocks and the three bears... Whittaker Style!
As soon as Carlos got home the kids whisked him away for the transformation.
The girls were so excited to build the set! They made a bed that is to hard, to soft and one just right!
We did some homework and baking!
And what Goldilocks story would be complete with out is share of porridge. We finished the night with reading the story together it was a ton of fun. So there you go... Goldilocks and the three bears Whittaker style! H

Those pictures of Carlos are hilarious... Another really great idea. :)

In ten years, when your girls are in high school, You and Carlos are going to be the rad parents that everybody wants to hang out with. I still keep in touch with a friend's parents because they were so much fun during those really awkward years. They loved all of us kids (there were about 30 regulars at their house) like their own!

Could you give us the links for all the family nights? I absolutely love this idea, and would like to share it on my blog!
Keep sharing!

Hey, I recognize that dress!! I'm so glad you kept that old thing. I had to look closer when I saw Carlos wearing a dress - and I thought to myself, "does Heather really have a dress that would fit Carlos?" I looked a little closer then yelped when I saw what it was! Good memories...
And your Family Night looked like a hit too. Your kids are so lucky to have you for a mama.

I love that you added one of Jacinda's flowers to the wig. It completes the outfit. Just the right amount of bling for Goldilocks.

Oh, THANK YOU HEATHER. That picture of Carlos is priceless. Your girls are going to look back on those pictures and think how awesome their mom was to create such nights, and their dad was to go along with them!
You know these family nights are a compilation book waiting to happen, right?
