To pull or not to pull? Part 2
We have a group of friends who meet in our house once a week, our small group. The Losiah just gets put to bed early and the girls get a movie. This works like a charm, however tonight we hear Sohaila crying so Carlos goes up to see what the problem was. He comes down and says..."Did you tell her she will swallow her tooth if she falls a sleep?"
Confession: I might have reworded Darcies words a little to see if she would allow me to pull it out. Obviously that did not work. I have many failed parenting attempts. Lets just add that to the list.
So anyways we did a little negotiating and finally we took some steps forward.
Dad was going to do the pulling. She could stop at any point and best of all the tooth fairy would becoming tonight!
This dance went on for about 15 minutes. Should we do it? Do you want us to wait? Back and fourth, back and fourth. Finally I locked eyes on her and begin to make up nonsense stuff to try to make her focus on me. And it worked a second later Carlos had it in his hand and she had no idea. It was perfect!

That first tooth can really be fun! My daughter wouldn't let anyone near it for quite a while. Then her Daddy finally helped her out. I had the joy of getting to pull out the second one. Congrats!

You're a great mom hush was not a failed parenting attempt. But that's pretty funny, good job on the distractions!

I've been lucky that my kids have always just sort of handled those things! Especially now that I'm a solo mom. I say lucky because a wiggly tooth is up there on the "gross me out list" somewhere near potlucks, public restrooms, and puking... My son pulled his first tooth out while we were pulling up to the polling place the day The Governator was elected. He got his teeth early - but he was only four when that first one came out!

good job. one of my horror story memories of childhood was when my mom tried to pull a tooth out before it was ready. it scarred both of us, but even still we're close! good luck with future toof adventures!

Wow...the dollar amount is now up to "whatever is in her wallet?" I got robbed when I had a couple teeth extracted recently. Tracy Edwards and her staff got my money..what did I get? NO MONEY...lol...But, I did get some relief of knowing that she and her staff are awesome and comforting when it comes to extracting teeth. That means more than money, anytime!

Zach and I are watching the video...its so FUN :) What a brave Sis. My favorite part is when you told Carlos "dont use your left hand, use your right".
